You'll have to avoid some jets of steam, but that should be child's play for an experienced adventurer like you. Go down the northern stairs and then proceed to the east. Cast Whirlwind to clear the leaves then enter the cave. Go west twice, then south, southeast, east, northeast, east, north, east and then southeast to get to some stairs. Go southeast to the bubbles and then southwest to the next set of bubbles. Stepping into the bubbly areas will raise you to the surface. As you walk around in this mucky area you will slowly sink.
